Recruiter (GovCon) – Remote (DMV Preferred)
Location: Fully Remote (DMV area preferred)
Type: Contract
Overview
We’re partnering with a large federal contractor to bring on an experienced Senior Recruiter to support ongoing hiring needs. This is a fully remote role with a preference for candidates based in the DMV area. This position requires a strong sourcing-focused recruiter who can operate independently, build pipelines from the ground up, and support hiring across federal programs.
Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruiting across contract, contract-to-hire, and direct hire roles
- Proactively source and engage passive candidates using LinkedIn, Boolean search, and other sourcing tools
- Support hiring for federal/GovCon positions, including technical and cleared roles as needed
- Build and maintain active candidate pipelines aligned to program needs
- Partner with hiring managers to understand requirements and drive the recruiting process forward
- Conduct candidate screens, coordinate interviews, and manage offers
- Maintain accurate activity within ATS and ensure a high level of candidate communication
Requirements
- GovCon recruiting experience (federal contracting environment required)
- Strong sourcing / “hunter” mindset with the ability to generate pipelines from scratch
- Experience supporting federal contractors or government programs
Preferred Background
- Experience recruiting for cleared roles
- Background supporting DoD or federal agency programs
- Track record of success in high-volume recruiting environments
- Experience hiring for technical roles (IT, engineering, cybersecurity, etc.)
- Proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter, ATS platforms, and advanced sourcing techniques
