An opportunity is available for a Quality Technician to join a supplier quality receiving inspection team. The role focuses on ensuring the quality and integrity of all incoming materials and components. This position acts as a key defense against defects and non-conformances in the supply chain by writing tags and documenting nonconformances.
- Write tags for nonconformances.
- Verify product conformance to design requirements.
- Provide objective evidence of inspection results.
- Perform auditing, surveillance, and monitoring.
- Identify and document discrepancies.
- Segregate and control non-conforming items.
- Conduct product reviews with the customer during product or process verification.
- Identify repetitive or significant non-conformances and initiate requests for corrective action.
Education: A High School Diploma or GED is required.
Experience: Previous experience in a quality inspection role within this specific organization is required. This includes experience with the organization's internal systems, such as Velocity, and experience writing tags for nonconformances.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and various gauges.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and engineering specifications.
- Computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- 2-4 years of experience in quality inspection, particularly in manufacturing or aerospace environments.
- Experience with First Article Inspections (FAI).
- Familiarity with quality standards and specifications, such as AS9100.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) like SAP or Oracle.
- Experience using quality management software.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify root causes of defects.
The anticipated pay range for this position is $28.00/hr to $32.97/hr. A comprehensive benefits package may be available to eligible employees. This includes health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, and life and disability insurance programs.
