Role Overview

We are seeking a Sr. Project Manager to lead project management activities throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will work with business unit sponsors to establish project structure, initiate routines, and ensure coordination within the established program construct. This role requires adherence to the organization's project delivery methodology and the creation of deliverables based on approved artifact templates.

 

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead project management activities through all project stages: Initiate, Plan, Execute, and Realize.
  • Work with business unit sponsors to define project structure and establish routines, including stakeholder identification and workgroup cadences.
  • Complete all project planning activities and documentation in line with established delivery methodology.
  • Lead routine cadences for Leadership, Core Team, and Working Groups.
  • Coordinate client and teammate readiness activities with stakeholders across various departments such as business units, enablement, legal, risk, and compliance.
  • Manage project execution by coordinating with relevant partners.
  • Provide routine status updates for both project-level and enterprise-level forums.
  • Maintain project documentation to meet all enterprise and business unit standards.
  • Create and manage the project budget, including monthly forecasts and reconciliation of actuals with variance management.
Required Qualifications
  • A proven track record of leading large-scale programs or projects in the financial services industry, with at least 7 years of experience as a primary project lead.
  • Strong program management skills to execute efficiently in compliance with project management standards with minimal oversight.
  • Experience with both Agile and Waterfall development methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to adjust communication style for different audiences, from detailed working sessions to executive summaries.
  • A proven delivery record of managing teams through discoveries, decisions, and risk mitigation to keep projects on schedule.
  • Project management experience in Banking, Wholesale Payments, or Core Treasury Solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience working in the financial services industry.
  • Project experience focused on areas such as Product and Feature Enhancements, Testing, Content Development, Training, Billing and Pricing, or managing dependencies with third-party vendors and technology.
  • General understanding of banking regulations and compliance requirements, with PCI experience being helpful.
