Job Title: Cloud Security Engineer
Location: Charlotte, NC / Chandler, AZ / Dallas (Irving), TX – Hybrid
Contract Length: 6 Months Contract
Pay Rate: $69/hr - $74/hr

We are seeking an experienced Lead Information Security Engineer to join a Cloud Workload Lifecycle Security team. This role supports a large-scale migration to a new Cloud Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP) with a specific focus on Cloud Workload Protection. The position involves engineering and support for public and private cloud container and Kubernetes environments to operate vulnerability and compliance scanning.
- Implement, configure, and manage the Wiz CNAPP platform across multi-cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Onboard cloud accounts, subscriptions, projects, and Kubernetes clusters into Wiz.
- Partner with DevSecOps and Platform teams to integrate Wiz into CI/CD pipelines and container workflows.
- Deploy and manage the Wiz Sensor at scale for workload and Kubernetes visibility.
- Automate the Wiz Sensor onboarding and lifecycle management to ensure consistent deployments.
- Enable and operate Wiz Container Registry Scanning across enterprise registries.
- Act as the subject matter expert for Wiz capabilities, roadmap features, and best practices for Cloud Workload Protection.
- Support vulnerability and exposure management programs by validating findings and reducing false positives.
- Troubleshoot and resolve support escalation cases related to the security platform.
Experience:
- 5+ years of Information Security Engineering experience or equivalent.
- 4+ years of experience in Cloud Security, Engineering, or DevSecOps.
- 2+ years of practical experience with Azure and Google public cloud platforms, services, and hardening practices.
- Hands-on experience deploying or administering Wiz in large-scale environments.
Technical Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container security.
- Advanced experience with Python programming and automation.
- Strong understanding of Azure/GCP architecture, IAM, networking, and cloud-native services.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
- Experience integrating CNAPP tools with SIEM/SOAR platforms.
- Background in vulnerability management or application security.
- Experience supporting regulated or large enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with cloud security frameworks such as CSA, CIS, or NIST.
- Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CCSK, or CKS.
- Microsoft Azure and/or Google Cloud Certifications.
The anticipated pay range for this position is $69.00/hr to $74.00/hr. Please note that the exact compensation may vary based on factors such as experience and geographic location. A comprehensive benefits package is available to eligible employees.
