Location: Charlotte, NC / Chandler, AZ / Irving, TX (Hybrid)
Employment Type: 6 Months Contract
Pay Rate: $69/hr - $74/hr

We are seeking an experienced Information Security Engineer to join a dynamic team focused on Cloud Workload Lifecycle Security. This role is integral to securing and reducing risk during a large-scale enterprise cloud migration. The engineer will support the transition to a new Cloud Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP), focusing on managing alerts and findings from both Cloud Workload Protection (CWPP) and Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) modules. This position involves collaboration with engineering and application partners to empower the remediation of risks across public and private cloud environments.
- Perform hands-on technical and engineering work with the Wiz CNAPP platform, with a focus on Findings Management.
- Define, configure, and operationalize alerts and findings within the security platform.
- Build and maintain Python data pipelines to download, merge, enrich, and analyze security datasets.
- Develop and engineer reporting processes and visualization dashboards using tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Design and develop automation scripts using Python, Bash, or PowerShell to improve team process efficiency.
- Collaborate with partners to support the remediation of alerts and findings, including analysis for automation opportunities.
- Provide professional expertise on Application Lifecycle Security and the resolution of application vulnerabilities or compliance issues.
- Integrate security tool data with enterprise systems like Splunk and ServiceNow.
Experience: 5+ years of Information Security Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
Technical Skills:
- 2+ years of experience with Azure and Google public cloud platforms, services, configurations, and hardening practices.
- 1+ years of experience with a CNAPP product such as Wiz or a similar cloud security tool.
- 1+ years of experience with scripting and automation languages such as Python, Bash, Terraform, or PowerShell.
- 1+ years of experience delivering integration between cloud security tools and other enterprise tools like Splunk Cloud and ServiceNow.
- 1+ years of experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Solid understanding of Identity & Access Management (IAM) and Information Protection concepts.
- Experience working on teams practicing Agile Scrum or Kanban methodologies.
- Experience supporting cloud implementation, cloud security engineering, or operations.
- Experience with databases such as MongoDB.
- Experience with security tools like Microsoft Defender, Google Security Command Center, Aqua Security, or Microsoft Sentinel.
- Knowledge of change and incident management practices in a large enterprise.
- Familiarity with cloud security and risk frameworks (e.g., CSA, CIS, NIST).
- Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC, CISA, CRISC, or CCSK.
- Microsoft Azure and/or Google Cloud certifications.
The anticipated pay range for this position is $69.00/hr to $74.00/hr.
