Job Description:

As an Associate Program Manager, you are responsible for successfully supporting and managing your assigned programs and initiatives to a defined scope, schedule, and budget. You will collaborate directly with the Program Manager and Program Sponsor to help define scope, develop project plans, and facilitate the creation of budgets. This role involves leading the coordination of day-to-day sponsor and stakeholder communications and reporting to a Senior Manager or Manager, Construction Program Management.
- Communicate program requirements from the Sponsor to applicable internal and external stakeholders, field-based execution teams, and third-party vendors.
- Actively manage the full lifecycle of programs from concept to execution.
- Utilize program management tools to efficiently maintain project lists and pipelines, communicate to the teams, and establish and measure milestones and deadlines.
- Maintain frequent and direct contact with the program sponsor, managing expectations and ensuring satisfaction.
- Measure and report on program execution performance, proactively promoting client satisfaction.
- Define scope, develop project plans, create budgets, and lead day-to-day sponsor and stakeholder communication.
- May mentor Program Coordinators as part of development responsibilities.
Education: A Bachelor’s Degree is required in one of the following fields: Design, Architecture, Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical), Construction Management, or Business Management. Equivalent knowledge gained from a Masters/Advanced Degree or work experience is also acceptable.
Experience: 3 to 5 years of related work experience is required.
Qualifications:
- Experience working in construction project/program management or coordination
- Ability to excel and lead others in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to adapt to change and shift priorities to meet objectives.
- Ability to inform and influence stakeholders at various levels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of Program and Project Management processes and tools.
- Familiarity with design and construction best practices and processes.
- Advanced skill with software applications including Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Advanced experience with web-based applications such as Tririga, SAP, or Ariba.
This role offers opportunities to refine skills in program management and stakeholder relationship management. You will gain exposure to project requirements across multiple business units, including Category Management, Store Layout, Financial and Scheduling partners, Architecture & Engineering, Procurement, Legal, Merchandising, and Construction field teams. You will also manage and grow relationships with multiple internal business units and third-party vendors.
