OAG - System Administrator 3 - 2 Openings

Role Overview

An opportunity is available for two Systems Administrators to support a secure, stable, and high-performing hybrid IT environment. This hands-on technical role focuses on the disciplined execution of operational processes including patching, monitoring, backup, and system maintenance. The position involves administering servers, identity systems, and enterprise services across both on-premises and cloud platforms.

 
Key Responsibilities
  • Administer Windows Server environments, both on-premises and in the cloud.
  • Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Support Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online and Entra ID/Azure AD.
  • Execute structured patching for servers and core systems and track compliance.
  • Support vulnerability remediation aligned with security priorities.
  • Implement security controls and support identity and access management practices, including MFA.
  • Monitor systems, respond to alerts, and provide Tier 2/3 support for infrastructure incidents.
  • Administer backup and recovery solutions, including performing and validating tests.
  • Follow defined change management processes for all infrastructure modifications.
  • Collaborate with network, security, end-user services, and application teams on system integrations and changes.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience administering Windows Server environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Entra ID/Azure AD).
  • Experience with patch management and system maintenance.
  • Familiarity with backup and recovery solutions.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in government or other regulated environments.
  • Experience with hybrid infrastructure (on-premises and Azure).
  • Familiarity with NIST or similar security frameworks.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Exposure to monitoring, SIEM, or endpoint management tools.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple operational tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities across technical groups.
  • Capacity to follow structured processes and governance standards.
  • A focus on system reliability, security, and continuous improvement.
Work Environment

This position is based in an office environment. Occasional after-hours support for maintenance or incident response will be necessary. Limited travel between office locations may be required.
