We are seeking a Communications Coordinator to manage brand communications and support project delivery. This role involves creating and implementing communication strategies, managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring consistent messaging across all platforms. The position requires strategic planning, project implementation, and analysis of communication effectiveness.
- Effectively manage the brand through cooperative relationships with internal management, staff, external vendors, and the media.
- Create, implement, and evaluate communications strategies and plans that align with the organization’s strategic plan, setting measurable objectives.
- Coordinate with leadership, executives, and staff to gather information for publication on websites, social media, and other channels.
- Review all external communications, such as newsletters, for consistent messaging and branding, and coordinate production and distribution.
- Produce, distribute, and manage project-related communications, including notifications for deployments and hotfixes.
- Develop, update, and maintain standard operating procedures for project teams.
- Segment contact lists based on personas and behaviors for targeted marketing efforts.
- Assist in developing, organizing, and publicizing press packets, articles, and promotional materials.
- Work with vendors to deliver specialized tactics such as event planning, webcasts, and video production.
- Ensure Electronic and Information Resources (EIR) Accessibility requirements are integrated into the project lifecycle.
Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Marketing Communications Coordinator. A minimum of 3 years of experience with external documents such as newsletters or demonstrated equivalent writing and publishing design skills. A minimum of 2 years of experience in email marketing and marketing automation technology.
Technical Skills: Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, and PowerPoint. Understanding of email marketing concepts and metrics such as Sender Score, deliverability, and sender reputation. Knowledge of Associated Press Style.
- Experience with public relations, targeted marketing, social media, promotional marketing, and lead nurturing.
- Familiarity with marketing automation tools and web analytics.
- Experience with Microsoft Access, report-writing tools, or Adobe Creative Suite.
The pay rate for this position is between $20.00 and $33.00 per hour. A benefits package is available to eligible employees.
