Job Title: Scrum Master

Location: Charlotte, NC - Hybrid

Contract Length: 12 Months

Pay Rate: $60/hr - $70/hr

In this contingent resource assignment, you will consult on complex software engineering initiatives with broad impact. This role involves reviewing and analyzing large-scale, multi-faceted engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation. You will contribute to resolving complex situations by applying a solid understanding of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements to meet deliverables.

• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Drive Agile delivery execution and ensure adherence to Scrum principles and frameworks.
• Manage sprint progress, track goals, and monitor overall delivery health.
• Support backlog refinement and collaborate with Product Owners on prioritization.
• Monitor Agile metrics such as velocity, burndown, and cycle time to improve predictability and team performance.
• Identify and remove blockers, risks, and dependencies to ensure smooth delivery.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on delivery objectives.
• Coach teams on Agile best practices, self-organization, and continuous improvement.
• Utilize Jira, Confluence, and other collaboration tools to manage delivery workflows.

Experience: 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, or education. This must include extensive experience as a Scrum Master in software engineering delivery environments.

Technical Skills: Strong experience with Jira and Confluence for backlog management, sprint tracking, and reporting. Proficient in monitoring and acting on Agile metrics including velocity, burndown, and cycle time.

• A Scrum certification such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM).
• Experience working in enterprise environments, including cloud platforms, data platforms, or DevOps ecosystems.
• A prior background in engineering, quality assurance, or software development.
• Experience supporting large-scale, multi-team Agile delivery environments and managing cross-team dependencies.
• Experience with NexusOne technology is a plus.
