Job Title: Business Analyst (Regulatory & Compliance)

Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid - 3 days onsite)

Contract Length: 12 months (potential extension to 24 months)

Pay Rate: $61/hr - $65/hr

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical Business Analyst with strong regulatory and compliance experience to support initiatives impacting the Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) business. This role focuses on assessing regulatory changes, understanding business impact, and driving clear requirements across compliance, technology, legal, and operations. This position requires an individual who can operate independently, engage stakeholders effectively, and perform in-depth analysis beyond the surface level.

 

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze regulatory requirements and assess impacts across business, technology, legal, and operations teams.
  • Gather, document, and refine detailed business and functional requirements.
  • Translate complex regulatory changes into actionable business and technical requirements.
  • Support regulatory-driven initiatives to ensure alignment with compliance expectations and deadlines.
  • Perform data analysis and support regulatory reporting processes.
  • Identify risks, gaps, and dependencies related to regulatory changes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across CIB and frontline business units.
  • Drive deep-dive analysis to uncover root causes and meaningful insights.
Required Qualifications

Experience: 5+ years of Business Analyst experience with a strong background in regulatory and compliance initiatives, including experience supporting regulatory reporting and data analysis within banking or financial services. This includes demonstrated experience in Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning.

 

Skills: Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to independently drive requirements and analysis. A proven ability to assess regulatory impact across business functions and knowledge of financial markets and banking operations are required.

 

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

 

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience within Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) or frontline banking teams.
  • Knowledge of US or global financial regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience supporting enterprise regulatory or large-scale compliance programs.
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to perform deep-dive analysis.
