Location: North Reading, Massachusetts (Onsite)

Compensation: $20 - $28 Hourly

 

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and self-motivated Buyer. This role is responsible for purchasing materials, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring material availability. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong computer skills, and thrive in a collaborative, team-focused environment.

 

Key Responsibilities
  • Purchasing materials and equipment, including electro-mechanical assemblies, electronic components, and PCB assemblies.
  • Managing supplier relationships and key performance indicators (KPIs) for senior leadership.
  • Providing inputs for monthly scorecards and presenting procurement data during business reviews.
  • Planning material requirements, managing inventory levels, and managing schedules in the ERP system.
  • Identifying supply chain risks and monitoring material flow.
  • Collaborating with the Planning team to communicate supply chain risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Developing mechanisms for monitoring and updating open purchase orders and delivery requirements.
  • Assisting the Global Commodity Management team with supplier relationship management and performance monitoring.
  • Resolving purchase order receiving errors and assisting with invoice reconciliation.
  • Managing supplier returns, including non-conformance reports and return material authorizations.
  • Identifying and leading process improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications

Experience: Successful candidates will be highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.

 

Technical Skills: Strong computer skills are required, including proficiency in Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint. An understanding of data management and databases is also a plus.
