Job Description:
Location: Fort Belvoir, Maryland (Remote)
As a UI/UX Web Developer, you will be responsible for designing and building user-focused websites and web applications that seamlessly blend visual appeal with robust functionality. You will conduct user research, develop wireframes and prototypes, and translate these designs into clean, production-ready front-end code. This role involves close collaboration with product managers and backend engineers to align designs with business objectives and user needs.
- Design wireframes, user flows, storyboards, and interactive prototypes to visualize and communicate user experiences.
- Translate design mockups into production-ready, clean, and maintainable front-end code using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
- Conduct user research, define user personas, and perform usability testing to refine and optimize user journeys.
- Ensure websites and web applications are fully responsive, fast-loading, and compliant with accessibility standards (WCADA/WCAG).
- Collaborate with product managers, backend engineers, and marketing teams to align design solutions with business objectives.
- Utilize design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or Adobe Creative Suite to create high-fidelity UI/UX assets.
- Implement and maintain front-end solutions using modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Vue.js, or Angular.
- Employ version control systems, such as Git, to manage and document code changes.
Experience: 3+ years of relevant experience.
Technical Skills:
- Strong command of HTML5, CSS3, Java, and JavaScript.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Vue.js, or Angular.
- Familiarity with version control systems like GitLab.
Certifications: Possession of Security+ or an equivalent certification is required.
Additional Requirements: Must be a U.S. Citizen.
