Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (On-site)
We are seeking a detail-oriented Support Engineering Data Specialist to join a Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) and obsolescence management group. This position will support Bombers and Military Commercial Derivative modification and sustainment contracts. The specialist will play a key role in establishing and managing DMSMS programs to ensure the continued operational effectiveness of military aircraft through research and data analysis.
- Develop and implement comprehensive DMSMS programs to address material shortages and obsolescence.
- Collect and analyze engineering data for conducting thorough DMSMS analyses.
- Monitor and identify risks and issues related to DMSMS that may impact program performance.
- Assess the potential impact of identified DMSMS risks on current and future operations.
- Create actionable recommendations and strategic roadmaps for DMSMS resolution.
- Interpret engineering, reliability, maintainability, and supply chain data to develop support solutions.
- Research parts and material data on bombers and military aircraft.
- Interface with engineering teams, supplier management, and other product support groups.
- Conduct database and web searches, entering data into spreadsheets/databases and reporting on findings.
- A bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience.
- Analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex engineering data.
- Communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in project management and problem-solving methodologies.
- This position requires a U.S. Person for purposes of Export Compliance.
- Experience in DMSMS and obsolescence management, preferably within the aerospace or defense industry.
- Familiarity with military aircraft systems and modification processes.
- Experience with risk management and mitigation strategies.
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory and compliance standards in the aerospace industry.
- Experience as a former military aircraft maintainer or in product support, spare parts, provisioning, or supply chain roles.
