Job Title: Art Director

Location: Orlando, FL - 4 days a week onsite

Rate: $50-55/hr

Salary Conversion: $90,000-110,000

Duration: Contract to hire

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly creative and hands-on Art Director to serve as a singular creative leader across two key areas: Digital Demand and Brand & Special Projects. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on directing high-quality creative output—rather than managing people—and is passionate about delivering visually compelling, conversion-driven digital experiences.

This is a high-impact opportunity with strong visibility and a clear path to grow into a more senior leadership role as the function scales.

What You’ll Do

Creative Direction & Execution

  • Lead and direct the development of high-quality, on-brand creative assets across multiple channels
  • Own the visual direction for email marketing (60% of output), including promotional and transactional campaigns for diverse audiences
  • Oversee and contribute to design for:
    • Paid social (including carousel ads)
    • Google Ads / display
    • Web and landing pages
    • Digital campaigns focused on performance and conversion
  • Ensure all creative is optimized for engagement, performance, and brand consistency

Cross-Channel Campaign Support

  • Partner with marketing and brand teams to bring campaigns to life across digital demand and brand initiatives
  • Support occasional “outlier” projects such as digital menus, digital signage, and special creative activations

Creative Leadership (Work, Not People)

  • Act as a leader of creative work, setting standards and guiding execution across a team of 6 designers
  • Provide clear art direction, feedback, and inspiration—without direct people management responsibilities
  • Uphold design best practices and continuously elevate the quality of output across all touchpoints

Collaboration & Execution

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure timely delivery of creative assets
  • Collaborate with contractors and outsourced talent to scale output when needed
  • Translate marketing objectives into compelling and effective visual storytelling

Required Qualifications (Must-Haves)
  • 3–5 years of experience in a leadership-level design role (Art Director, Senior Designer, or equivalent) within an agency or in-house environment
  • Strong portfolio showcasing:
    • Email design (high volume)
    • Digital ads (paid social, display, carousel ads)
    • Landing pages and web design
    • Conversion-focused creative work
  • Advanced proficiency in Figma
  • Proven ability to direct and elevate creative work across multiple channels and audiences
  • Experience working with external vendors, freelancers, or offshore design teams
  • Background in hospitality or a related consumer-facing industry (highly preferred/required)
Nice to Have
  • Experience supporting global or international marketing efforts
  • Familiarity with designing for multiple markets and adapting creative for localized audiences
