Job Title: Information Security Engineer 4 – Contingent
Location: Irving, TX (Las Colinas – Preferred)
Contract Length: 6–12 months (possible conversion)
Pay Rate: $69 - $74
- Senior-level hands-on Python development and automation experience
- Strong experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD pipelines (Infrastructure as Code)
- Deep expertise with Palo Alto, Fortinet firewalls, and proxy technologies (Broadcom Cloud Proxy)
- Experience with AI-assisted engineering or automation workflows
- Experience with workflow orchestration tools (Temporal, ORCA)
- Experience with observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus)
In this contingent resource assignment, you will consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Information Security Engineering. You will analyze and resolve complex, multi-faceted challenges related to network security automation and contribute to transforming legacy firewall, proxy, and network access control systems into a modern, automated Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) architecture. This role requires a highly skilled, hands-on engineer capable of delivering large-scale automation outcomes in a complex enterprise environment.
- Design and implement a unified ZTNA architecture across firewall and proxy environments
- Automate lifecycle management (Day 0/1/2 operations) for firewall, proxy, and NAC systems
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Infrastructure as Code practices
- Develop automation workflows using Python and Ansible
- Implement orchestration frameworks using Temporal/ORCA or similar tools
- Integrate systems such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, and Broadcom Cloud Proxy into automation pipelines
- Extend Nautobot as a source of truth for network topology, IPAM, and configurations
- Develop APIs (Apigee) to expose automation capabilities
- Implement observability and monitoring using Grafana and/or Prometheus
- Collaborate across engineering, security, and infrastructure teams to drive adoption of automation solutions
- Deliver documentation and training to support long-term sustainability
