Location: Atlanta, Georgia (Remote)
This Project Manager role will support a major capital and regulatory reporting modernization program, with a primary focus on Risk-Weighted Assets (RWA) implementation. The position involves leading both short-term manual initiatives and long-term system-driven RWA projects. The role is responsible for establishing new workstreams, driving project management life cycle (PMLC) execution, and ensuring alignment across business, risk, and technology teams within a dynamic environment.
- Plan and coordinate project activities with business managers and cross-functional subject matter experts to drive issue resolution.
- Ensure project activities are aligned to deliver benefit realization and adhere to the established project management life cycle methodology.
- Implement and manage a risk management plan for the project, ensuring compliance with company requirements.
- Lead teams of internal or external resources on a project basis.
- Create, maintain, and analyze project schedules, managing variances and creating action plans to mitigate issues.
- Prepare dashboard reporting and documentation to communicate project health to key executives.
- Provide hands-on support to delivery teams, including tracking deliverables, coordinating subject matter experts, and managing issue resolution.
- Assist in identifying and planning for change introduced by the project, coordinating with communications and training teams.
- Experience in RWA or regulatory reporting, with a background in capital reporting, balance sheet, or accounting domains.
- Demonstrated end-to-end project management experience, including project initiation, scope, budget, and schedule ownership.
- Experience leading technical or system-related projects with cross-functional teams.
- Developed communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience aligning business, risk, and technology partners.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and establish new initiatives from the ideation phase.
- Direct RWA implementation experience.
- Background in large banking programs, such as Basel III or capital modernization initiatives.
- Familiarity with project management tools like Clarity.
- Proven ability to lead in ambiguous, early-stage programs.
- A people-first leadership style focused on influence, collaboration, and driving team alignment.
