Senior Infrastructure Architect – Windows Platforms
Location: Columbus, OH (Hybrid)
Duration: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Infrastructure Architect – Windows Platforms to lead the strategy, design, and evolution of a complex enterprise server environment supporting critical healthcare operations. This individual will serve as the technical authority for Windows Server technologies, driving architecture decisions, modernization initiatives, performance optimization, and long-term infrastructure strategy.
This is a highly visible role requiring deep technical expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to influence enterprise-wide technology decisions.
- Define and execute the strategic vision for enterprise Windows Server infrastructure.
- Lead the architecture, engineering, implementation, and ongoing optimization of Windows-based platforms and supporting technologies.
- Design scalable, secure, and highly available solutions that support mission-critical business and healthcare applications.
- Oversee server lifecycle management, including provisioning, monitoring, capacity planning, performance tuning, patching, and upgrades.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and implement infrastructure improvements that enhance reliability, security, resilience, and operational efficiency.
- Serve as the senior technical lead for complex infrastructure projects with significant organizational impact.
- Drive enterprise standards, best practices, governance, and operational excellence across the server environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration between infrastructure, applications, security, and business initiatives.
- Provide expert-level troubleshooting and resolution for critical platform issues and infrastructure challenges.
- Mentor engineers and technical teams while serving as a trusted advisor to IT leadership and key stakeholders.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend new technologies that align with the organization's strategic objectives.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 6+ years of experience in systems engineering, infrastructure architecture, or enterprise server administration.
- Extensive hands-on experience supporting and architecting Microsoft Windows Server environments.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise server hardware, virtualization technologies, storage, high availability, disaster recovery, and infrastructure best practices.
- Proven ability to lead large-scale infrastructure initiatives from design through implementation.
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience working in highly regulated or healthcare environments is a plus.
