Job Description:
Location: Findlay, OH (Hybrid)
We are seeking a System Engineer to manage and maintain critical IT and OT infrastructure. This role involves platform management, server and virtualization administration, and ensuring system compliance and security. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Windows Server environments, virtualization technologies, and experience in Operational Technology (OT) settings.
- Manage physical and virtual servers using technologies like VMware and Hyper-V, including resource allocation, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
- Perform in-depth Windows Server OS installation, configuration, and management, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and PowerShell scripting.
- Implement and maintain Windows security practices such as patch management, firewall configuration, and access control.
- Utilize automation tools, including SCCM and PowerShell scripting.
- Configure and manage network components such as switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Ensure Operational Technology (OT) systems comply with applicable standards and frameworks.
- Interpret corporate security, risk, and compliance policies into actionable technical requirements for OT environments.
- Maintain compliance documentation, standards, and procedures for IT/OT platforms.
Platform Management:
- Understanding of platform management tools for server administration, compute, storage, and networking.
- Knowledge of the critical role of OT in maintaining operational continuity.
Server and Virtualization:
- Experience managing physical and virtual servers using technologies like VMware and Hyper-V.
- Expertise in compute resource allocation, performance tuning, capacity planning, and scalable infrastructure deployment.
Windows Server Administration:
- In-depth knowledge of Windows Server OS installation, configuration, and management.
- Proficiency in Active Directory, Group Policy, PowerShell scripting, DHCP, DNS, IIS, and file/print services.
- Expertise with Windows security practices, including patch management, firewall configuration, and access control.
- Background in automation, SCCM, and PowerShell scripting.
Network Management:
- Experience configuring and managing switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Knowledge of VPNs, network segmentation, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Experience in OT environments, including systems such as DCS and SCADA.
- Familiarity with ensuring OT systems comply with industry standards and frameworks.
