Facilities Technician - Facilities Technician III

Location: Wink, Texas (Onsite)

Compensation: $22 - $27 hourly

 

Role Overview

We are seeking a Facilities Technician to support our distribution center operations. This role is responsible for the repair, maintenance, and improvement of building infrastructure, material handling equipment, and automated systems to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.

 

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and make improvements to the building and infrastructure.
  • Support and maintain fire protection and HVAC systems.
  • Maintain and repair distribution center racking, including metal and wood fabrications and welding.
  • Repair and maintain material handling equipment and building pneumatic systems.
  • Maintain the automated conveyor system and complete preventative maintenance routines.
  • Track and store the department's inventory, including spare parts.
  • Promote and conduct good housekeeping practices.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
Required Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

 

Experience: Proven experience and proficiency in the following areas:

  • Automated conveyor systems and controls.
  • Electrical and electronic principles.
  • Reading blueprints and electrical schematics.
  • Repair of material handling equipment.
  • HVAC maintenance and repair.
  • Preventative maintenance procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field.
  • 4+ years of apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects and workload effectively.
  • Capability to work successfully with little supervision.
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal) with peers, management, contractors, and vendors.
Work Environment
  • The role requires the ability to perform repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, and twisting.
  • Involves lifting parts and tools weighing on average 20 pounds, and occasionally up to 80 pounds.
  • Work conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, variable temperatures, noise, and standing on concrete for long hours.
  • This position requires flexibility with work hours and days, as it supports a 24/7 operation, including holidays.
  • The role is part of an on-call rotation, which includes holidays and weekends.
