IT - Solution Architect - Senior

Location: Toronto, Ontario (Hybrid)

 
Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Solution Designer to design and document robust, resilient infrastructure-focused technology solutions that support enterprise application and business initiatives. This role involves partnering with application development teams across the enterprise to design infrastructure-based technology solutions, understanding business and technical requirements, and producing solution designs for delivery teams. The consultant will support Enterprise Technology initiatives across Cyber Security, Fraud, AML, Corporate Security, and Risk portfolios.

 
Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and define infrastructure requirements for new applications and technology implementations.
  • Specify cloud and on-premises service needs and integration points.
  • Evaluate upstream and downstream system dependencies.
  • Produce detailed solution designs and implementation recommendations.
  • Ensure solutions are resilient, secure, and aligned with enterprise standards.
  • Partner with application teams to design infrastructure solutions for new applications, security platforms, and enterprise technology projects.
  • Translate functional and non-functional requirements into scalable, secure, and supportable infrastructure solutions.
Required Qualifications
  • 7-10+ years of experience in Solution Design, Solution Architecture, Infrastructure Design, or related roles.
  • Experience designing enterprise infrastructure solutions.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Azure services and cloud-based infrastructure, including service integrations, API integrations, networking, storage, virtual machines, and container technologies.
  • Experience engaging with application development teams to gather requirements and translate application needs into infrastructure solutions.
  • Understanding of infrastructure components, integration patterns, and enterprise technology environments.
  • Ability to create solution designs, technical documentation, and implementation recommendations.
  • Experience working within large, complex enterprise environments.
  • Stakeholder management and consultative communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Cyber Security domain experience, including knowledge of endpoint defense, key management, identity management, zero trust security, XDR, and SIEM technologies.
  • Experience supporting Fraud, AML, Risk Technology, or Corporate Security environments.
  • Knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls.
  • Previous engineering background in Systems, Infrastructure, Cloud, Network, or Security.
  • Application Development experience.
  • Experience with Azure API Management, containers, Databricks, or Azure Data Factory.
  • Financial services industry experience.
