Job#: 3041705

Job Description:

Senior Project Manager – Warehouse Operations & Logistics Technology

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead multiple warehouse operations and logistics technology initiatives focused on improving distribution center efficiency, inbound logistics processes, and operational automation. This role will be responsible for managing two high-visibility projects that sit at the intersection of technology, warehouse operations, logistics, and business transformation.

The ideal candidate brings a strong project management background combined with hands-on experience supporting warehouse, distribution center, logistics, transportation, or supply chain initiatives. Success in this role requires someone who can effectively engage warehouse leadership, operational stakeholders, technology teams, and third-party vendors while driving projects from planning through implementation and adoption.

This individual will be expected to take ownership, proactively identify risks and dependencies, challenge assumptions when appropriate, and ensure projects deliver measurable business value.

Key Projects

Project 1: Digital Driver Check-In & Receiving Management

Lead the implementation of a SaaS-based logistics solution designed to modernize the inbound receiving process at distribution centers.

Key objectives include:

  • Digitizing the driver check-in process through mobile QR code technology.
  • Automating notifications and queue management for warehouse receiving teams.
  • Reducing paper-based processes and creating searchable digital records.
  • Supporting pilot deployment and adoption at a distribution center location before broader enterprise rollout.
  • Collaborating with warehouse operations teams to drive change management and user adoption.
  • Managing relationships with the software vendor and coordinating future integrations with warehouse management systems.

Project 2: Automated Bill of Lading (BOL) Recognition & Recovery

Lead the next phase of an AI-enabled document automation initiative focused on reducing revenue leakage caused by missing or incomplete Bills of Lading.

Key objectives include:

  • Improving document identification accuracy through AI and document scanning technologies.
  • Managing vendor-delivered enhancements to reduce false positives and improve business outcomes.
  • Driving requirements gathering, stakeholder alignment, roadmap planning, and deployment activities.
  • Supporting rollout to distribution centers where the greatest financial recovery opportunities exist.
  • Ensuring project deliverables align with business objectives and expected operational benefits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of multiple warehouse operations and logistics technology initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, risks, dependencies, and executive status reporting.
  • Partner closely with warehouse operations, distribution center leadership, logistics teams, technology teams, and business stakeholders.
  • Drive project execution across cross-functional teams while ensuring accountability for commitments and deliverables.
  • Manage third-party vendors and hold them accountable for timelines, deliverables, and issue resolution.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering, process mapping, testing, training, and operational readiness activities.
  • Identify operational impacts and process changes associated with implementing new technology solutions.
  • Drive issue management, risk mitigation, decision-making, and escalation processes.
  • Support pilot implementations and subsequent enterprise rollout planning.
  • Lead change management efforts to ensure successful user adoption and business engagement.
  • Challenge assumptions, identify potential gaps, and proactively recommend solutions.
  • Foster collaboration between technical, business, and operational teams.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of Project Management experience leading large-scale business and technology initiatives.
  • Experience managing projects within warehouse operations, distribution centers, logistics, transportation, supply chain, or manufacturing environments.
  • Proven success leading SaaS implementations, operational technology deployments, or enterprise application projects.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse receiving, inventory movement, logistics operations, and operational workflows.
  • Experience working with third-party software vendors and system integrators.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams across business, operations, and technology organizations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Distribution center or warehouse operations experience.
  • Transportation, logistics, inbound receiving, or supply chain technology experience.
  • Experience implementing warehouse management, logistics, or operational automation solutions.
  • Experience with AI-enabled process automation initiatives.
  • Strong change management and operational readiness planning experience.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management platforms and enterprise operational systems.
  • PMP certification preferred but not required.

Desired Attributes

Constructive Influence

Comfortable challenging stakeholders, vendors, and project teams in a professional and collaborative manner to drive better outcomes.

Ownership Mindset
