Job Description:

Location: Toronto, Ontario (Hybrid)

We are seeking a Senior IT Specialty Developer for a modernization initiative focused on automating the mainframe SDLC. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing and implementing end-to-end deployment workflows to automate code promotion from development through to production environments. You will contribute best practices in the DevOps space to enhance the organization's source code repository and change management system.

• Design, build, and maintain Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Embed security and compliance checks into the build and deploy processes.
• Proactively monitor system performance and availability, and support incident management.
• Develop and document processes and workflows to meet ongoing support and audit compliance needs.
• Integrate DevOps Deploy with the mainframe SDLC for version deployment across SIT, UAT, and production environments.

• 5+ years of strong administrative and operational knowledge of DevOps Deploy on z/OS, including expertise in code packaging, deployments, and product management with access controls.
• Demonstrable experience in a DevOps Engineering or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) role.
• Experience documenting processes and workflows for audit compliance, including familiarity with access control checkpoints for code promotion.
• Proficiency with Linux, including JavaScript coding.
• Experience building workflows and understanding constructs from UAT.

• 2+ years of experience setting up partial Deploy and Rollback process workflows.
• Experience setting up DevOps Deploy in a cluster configuration (active-passive) for both application and database components.
• Working knowledge of mainframe architecture, including z/OS and USS.
• Experience with z/OS, particularly coding simple to mid-complexity REXX/JCL.
• Experience in z/OS development and operations environments such as TSO/E, ISPF, USS, SDSF, or z/OSMF.
