Business/Systems Analyst III

Job#: 3042049

Job Description:

Business Analyst III

Location: Englewood, CO (Onsite)

Employment Type: Long-Term Contract

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst III to support the delivery and evolution of field maintenance technology solutions. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong business analysis skills with hands-on technical aptitude and a deep understanding of field operations environments.

The successful candidate will serve as a key liaison between field operations, technology teams, external vendors, and leadership stakeholders. This is a highly visible role requiring the ability to translate complex technical requirements into actionable business solutions while driving cross-functional initiatives from planning through deployment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, document, and manage business and technical requirements for field operations systems and applications.
  • Lead technical meetings with external vendors and internal stakeholders, driving agendas, action items, and project outcomes.
  • Coordinate vendor relationships, deliverables, timelines, and integration activities across multiple technology partners.
  • Collaborate with development teams to refine requirements, support sprint planning, and resolve defects throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
  • Partner with field operations teams to support system implementations, process improvements, and technology adoption initiatives.
  • Create and maintain user stories, functional specifications, workflows, and process documentation.
  • Develop communication plans, training materials, and user guides for operational teams and field technicians.
  • Build and maintain reporting, dashboards, and adoption metrics to provide visibility into project progress and business outcomes.
  • Support regional deployments, contractor onboarding processes, and system transition activities.
  • Communicate effectively with audiences ranging from executive leadership to technical development teams and frontline users.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Business Analyst experience supporting software development or technology delivery initiatives.
  • Experience working within Agile environments, including strong proficiency with Jira.
  • Strong understanding of APIs, system integrations, and JSON data structures.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and translate technical concepts into business requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple stakeholders across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level communication.
  • Experience supporting software implementations, enhancements, and production support activities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in telecommunications, cable, utility, field services, or technician-driven operations environments.
  • Knowledge of network infrastructure, maintenance operations, or field service workflows.
  • Familiarity with SCTE standards and industry best practices.
  • Experience with Confluence, Splunk, MongoDB, and/or Figma.
  • Background supporting phased rollouts, regional deployments, or enterprise technology implementations.
  • Experience coordinating contractor onboarding and vendor management processes.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is not a traditional requirements-focused Business Analyst. They are a proactive problem solver who can balance technical depth, operational understanding, and stakeholder management. They are comfortable engaging with field teams, leading vendor discussions, supporting development teams, and communicating effectively with executive leadership.

What Sets You Apart

  • Strong understanding of field technician operations and the systems that support them.
  • Ability to bridge the gap between business objectives and technical execution.
  • Experience managing multiple external partners while driving project outcomes.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to create meaningful metrics and reporting.
  • Hands-on approach to delivery, implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
