Technology Vendor Management Office (VMO) Analyst

Location: Mississauga, ON (Hybrid – 2 days/week onsite)

Type: Contract-potential for extension or conversion


Position Summary

Our client is seeking a VMO Analyst to support the day-to-day operations of a Technology Vendor Management Office. This role provides analytical and operational support across vendor governance, invoice and financial management, contract administration, vendor performance monitoring, demand forecasting, and resource management. The successful candidate will work closely with technology stakeholders, finance, procurement, legal teams, and third-party vendors to ensure effective vendor oversight and reporting.


Key Responsibilities

Vendor Governance & Administration

  • Support vendor governance processes, data management, and operational controls.
  • Identify, escalate, and help resolve vendor-related issues impacting service delivery.
  • Monitor vendor compliance with contractual obligations and internal policies.
  • Track vendor performance against KPIs and SLAs and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Assist with vendor reviews, assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Produce KPI dashboards, operational reports, invoice tracking, and resource forecasts.
  • Analyze vendor and financial data to create executive-level presentations and recommendations.
  • Support demand forecasting and capacity planning activities.
  • Identify budget variances, commercial risks, and operational trends.

Invoice & Procurement Management

  • Manage invoice validation, reconciliation, and payment workflows.
  • Support purchasing activities, purchase orders, and vendor agreement administration.
  • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records within systems such as SAP Fieldglass, Ariba, and Workday.

Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with technology, finance, procurement, and vendor teams.
  • Coordinate vendor-related inquiries and reporting requests.
  • Support operational planning cycles with demand and capacity data.
  • Participate in VMO and enterprise initiatives as required.
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in vendor management, procurement, sourcing, operations, or a related analytical role.
  • Experience with vendor/procurement platforms such as SAP Fieldglass, Beeline, Ariba, and/or Workday.
  • Understanding of IT vendor management and third-party supplier engagement.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; strong Word and PowerPoint proficiency.
  • Experience creating reports, dashboards, and executive-ready presentations.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Finance, IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience within a Vendor Management Office (VMO) or similar governance function.
  • Exposure to IT staffing, managed services, and onshore/offshore resource models.
  • Demand planning, capacity planning, or workforce forecasting experience.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Experience supporting multiple vendor engagements or project implementations.
  • Familiarity with enterprise applications such as SAP and Workday.
