This role is responsible for the oversight and management of vendor relationships and associated contracts to ensure alignment with business systems, organizational goals, regulatory requirements, and financial targets. Key responsibilities include monitoring vendor performance against systems, contractual obligations and service level agreements (SLAs), ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and internal policies, and identifying opportunities for cost containment and operational efficiency. The position partners cross-functionally with payment integrity teams to evaluate vendor deliverables, mitigate risk, and support contract recommendations and alignment. This role also drives accountability through performance reporting, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize vendor value and support high-quality member outcomes.

Job Summary:
This role is responsible for managing vendor and contract performance to ensure alignment with organizational goals, operational expectations, and financial outcomes. The ideal candidate will have prior experience overseeing vendor KPI and SLA performance, including vendor accuracy, timeliness, and appropriate technical support. This individual will coordinate monthly and quarterly vendor meetings, support vendor invoicing and payment processes, organize vendor trainings, and serve as a key partner in ongoing vendor oversight. Strong procurement, contract, and Statement of Work (SOW) knowledge is essential, including the ability to interpret contractual language and make calculated adjustments to SOWs as business needs evolve. The role also requires strong project management skills, cross-functional coordination, and the ability to drive strategic alignment, accountability, and continuous improvement across vendor partnerships.
Essential Functions:
- Demonstrated experience managing vendor relationships and overseeing vendor performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs), including monitoring accuracy, timeliness, responsiveness, and technical support effectiveness.
- Proven ability to coordinate and lead monthly operational reviews and quarterly business reviews, including follow-up on action items, issue resolution, and performance improvement planning.
- Experience managing vendor invoicing, payment coordination, and invoice reconciliation, with strong attention to timeliness, accuracy, and financial stewardship.
- Strong knowledge of procurement, contract, and Statement of Work (SOW) language, with the ability to interpret contractual requirements, identify gaps, and recommend or implement calculated SOW adjustments aligned with business needs.
- Experience coordinating and supporting vendor training activities, process updates, and operational readiness efforts across internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong project management capability, including planning, tracking deliverables, managing dependencies, driving accountability, and ensuring alignment between vendor work and organizational priorities.
- Ability to evaluate vendor deliverables, identify risks, escalate issues appropriately, and drive corrective action when vendor performance is not meeting expectations or contractual commitments.
- Strong communication and relationship-management skills, with the ability to partner effectively across internal teams and external vendors to support operational goals, regulatory requirements, and financial outcomes.
- Ability to ensure vendor work remains strategically aligned to overall organizational goals, business systems, regulatory requirements, and financial targets.
Qualifications:
- Required Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in health care or business
- 7 years of relevant experience in product development lifecycle Required
- Strong knowledge and understanding of health care products, benefit structures, and product development process Required
- Familiarity with state and federal regulatory and legislative processes required; must be able to read and interpret complex statutes and regulations Required
- Ability to quickly grasp and describe health plan products and benefit designs Required
