Location: Columbus, Indiana (Remote)
We are seeking a motivated Microsoft SharePoint Website Designer, Content Developer & Editor, and Digital Workplace Specialist. This role supports our global workforce by designing, developing, and maintaining modern SharePoint Online sites and digital collaboration solutions. The position is responsible for creating engaging, user-centered intranet experiences that enable employees across manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, quality, sales, and corporate functions to access information and collaborate. The ideal candidate possesses expertise in Microsoft SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and the Microsoft 365 platform. The successful candidate will partner with business leaders, corporate communications, IT, and functional teams to develop intuitive digital workspaces.
- Design, build, and maintain modern SharePoint Online sites, departmental portals, project sites, and global intranet pages.
- Develop intuitive site architecture, navigation, and information structures.
- Create visually engaging, responsive pages using modern SharePoint web parts and Microsoft 365 capabilities.
- Configure document libraries, lists, metadata, content types, and permissions to support business processes.
- Develop, edit, proofread, and publish web content that is clear, accurate, and audience-focused.
- Establish and maintain content governance, including content lifecycle management and review schedules.
- Design and support SharePoint sites connected to Microsoft Teams workspaces.
- Gather business requirements from global stakeholders and translate them into effective SharePoint solutions.
- Support SharePoint governance, content lifecycle management, records retention, and information security requirements.
- Stay current with Microsoft 365 roadmap enhancements and recommend new capabilities that improve collaboration and productivity.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Communications, Digital Media, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Three or more years of experience designing and supporting Microsoft SharePoint Online environments.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Teams and its integration with SharePoint Online.
- Experience creating modern SharePoint sites, communication sites, team sites, document libraries, and content management solutions.
- Experience managing web content and applying content governance best practices.
- Excellent writing, editing, and content management skills.
- Experience with information architecture, metadata, permissions, version control, and governance.
- Understanding of accessibility standards and user-centered design principles.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global business environment.
- Experience supporting manufacturing, automotive, engineering, or industrial organizations.
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, and Microsoft Lists).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Viva Connections, SharePoint intranet solutions, and employee experience platforms.
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript for SharePoint customization.
- Microsoft 365, SharePoint, or Power Platform certifications are preferred.
