End-user Computing Specialist 2

Location: Ketchum, Idaho

 
Role Overview

We are seeking a customer-focused End User Computing Specialist II to provide technical support and solutions across multiple healthcare facilities. Under direct supervision, this role provides timely and creative solutions to end-user computer, telecom, and networking problems of a moderate to complex nature. This position is a second-level resolution resource responsible for supporting end-user computing devices, telecommunications systems, networking components, and IT infrastructure to ensure uninterrupted productivity for staff.

 
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a second-level technical support resource for end users experiencing hardware, software, telecom, networking, and infrastructure-related issues.
  • Diagnose, research, isolate, and resolve moderately complex technical problems in a timely manner.
  • Perform restorative and maintenance actions either remotely or at the end user's location to resolve problems.
  • Provide both remote and onsite technical support to healthcare staff.
  • Support and maintain IT hardware, peripherals, communications equipment, and infrastructure components.
  • Install, configure, upgrade, and replace endpoint devices and related technology equipment.
  • Utilize ticketing systems to accurately document incidents, requests, troubleshooting efforts, and resolutions.
  • Collaborate with Tier 2 support personnel for appropriate services, repairs, and troubleshooting.
  • Identify recurring technical issues and recommend systems modifications to reduce user issues.
 
Required Qualifications
  • A minimum of 3 years of applicable experience in desktop support, end-user support, help desk, or field services is required. Education may be considered in lieu of some experience.
  • Experience supporting Windows operating systems, desktop and laptop hardware, and mobile devices.
  • Experience with printers, print services, and basic networking and connectivity troubleshooting.
  • Experience working within a ticketing or incident management system.
  • Strong customer service orientation with a commitment to providing a positive end-user experience.
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting healthcare, hospital, or clinical environments.
  • Familiarity with healthcare technologies and workflows.
  • Experience supporting audio-visual systems or conference room technologies.
  • Knowledge of network troubleshooting and infrastructure support.
  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certifications.
 
Additional Requirements
  • This is a field-based position that requires travel throughout the Magic Valley region.
  • Candidates must be comfortable working in hospital and clinical environments, which may involve occasional patient contact.
  • Reliable personal transportation is required for travel between sites. Mileage reimbursement is provided.
  • Occasional overnight travel to locations outside the Wood River area may be required.
