Our client’s Quality Automation team was facing pressure to implement cost savings measures during a period when their scope of responsibility increased while maintaining their current quality and output levels. They needed a team of automation experts to create and deliver automation suites for their consumer applications. The client's testing team could not take on additional work and could only support a limited scope. They were looking for a partner who could provide qualified consultants to help them meet financial constraints while increasing feature velocity. SOLUTION 

We provided a team of skilled automation engineers from our nearshore delivery center in Guadalajara, Mexico to facilitate our client's development and support new and existing automation suites. Our team of nine engineers led by a technical manager was designed to support multiple workstreams in the Web and Mobile automation space, covering multiple applications such as Test Café, Cypress.io, Nightwatch, Swift, Kotlin, Appium, Jenkins, Docker, BrowserStack.

The team's responsibilities included: 

  • Analyzing / upgrading existing automation suites
  • Developing new automation suites
  • Enabling CI/CD deployments
  • Consulting on best practices and tool adoption
  • Providing continuity coverage across multiple aptitudes/technologies

RESULTS 

We provided our client with a team of talented automation engineers who increased the client's ability to support their current work as well as expand. Because of our ability to ramp up a team quickly, we reduced the estimated ramp-up time by 50% and exceeded the velocity targets set by the client.
