Job Description:
Location: Woodlawn, Maryland (Partial Remote)
This role leads the end-to-end reporting and analytics modernization effort for a large-scale federal program. The position involves establishing the reporting framework, defining data requirements, and implementing scalable business intelligence solutions. The lead will develop and oversee the delivery of dashboards, KPI metrics, and self-service analytics capabilities, ensuring data accuracy, reliability, and performance across complex legacy-to-modern environments.
- Lead the reporting and analytics enablement effort for the program, including the development of the Reporting Requirements Document.
- Deliver analytics dashboards, operational reporting, and self-service analytics capabilities.
- Ensure performance and quality targets, including 98 percent or greater report accuracy and 99 percent or greater API availability for analytics services.
- Direct the end-to-end design, development, testing, and deployment of Business Intelligence reports and dashboards.
- Manage the reporting and analytics team, providing technical leadership and performance oversight.
- Coordinate work products, backlog items, and delivery schedules with Agile Release Trains and associated program teams.
- Define and enforce reporting and analytics standards, data quality expectations, and metadata management practices.
- Collaborate with data architects, data engineers, system integrators, and business stakeholders.
- Ensure proper documentation, versioning, and traceability of reporting artifacts and BI components.
- Monitor production reporting performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements in alignment with service level agreements.
- Support federal audits, quality reviews, and compliance reporting requirements.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
Education: A Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience, a Master's degree with 3 years of experience, or a PhD with 0 years of experience.
Experience:
- Demonstrated experience leading reporting or analytics teams on large-scale federal or enterprise IT programs.
- Experience defining reporting requirements, developing reporting specifications, and producing documentation consistent with federal standards.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise data environments, including data warehouses, data lakes, semantic layers, and analytics APIs.
- Demonstrated expertise in Agile delivery frameworks, including working within or alongside Agile Release Trains.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.
Technical Skills: A strong background in the design and development of BI dashboards, operational reports, and KPI/metric reporting solutions using enterprise tools such as Tableau, Power BI, MicroStrategy, Qlik, or similar.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, business owners, and federal stakeholders.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- Experience supporting federal healthcare programs.
- Familiarity with federal healthcare data standards, regulatory requirements, and reporting processes.
- Experience with data quality, metadata management, and data governance practices.
- Knowledge of API-enabled analytics architectures, cloud-based BI platforms, or modern data engineering tools.
- Certifications in Business Intelligence, Agile, or analytics platforms (e.g., Tableau Certified, AWS Data Analytics, SAFe).
- Experience integrating legacy reporting systems with modern cloud-based reporting or analytics environments.
- Active or prior security clearance. Public Trust preferred.
