Job Description:
Location: Chandler, Arizona (Onsite)
Clearance: Candidates must have an active secret clearance or be willing and able to obtain a secret clearance
This role supports the development and evaluation of guidance, navigation, and control systems for advanced aerospace applications. The position involves applying mathematical models, control theories, and algorithm development to achieve precision in navigation and control performance. Responsibilities include analyzing system behavior, designing solutions, and integrating hardware and software components to ensure system reliability and mission success. This is a full-time, onsite position and cannot accommodate remote work.
- Design, develop, implement, verify, and test software and simulation toolchains.
- Work on a 6 degree of freedom (6DOF) simulation to design and test flight code.
- Optimize flight software and simulation software.
- Work with various trajectory optimization software and tools.
Education and Experience: A Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of professional experience, or a Master’s degree with 0 years of professional experience is required.
Technical Skills: Exposure to C++, Python, and development in a Linux environment is required. Experience with MATLAB and aerodynamic modeling is also necessary.
- Candidate with an active DOD secret clearance or Top Secret clearance are highly preferred for this role
- A Master’s or PhD in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Experience with control systems theory and guidance law design.
- Competence in C++, Python, Jira, and development in a Linux environment.
- Knowledge of 6DoF simulation, Rigid Body Dynamics, and State Estimation techniques such as Extended Kalman Filter (EKF).
- Familiarity with Monte Carlo analysis, LQR, and PID controllers.
