Technology Project Manager – Intelligent Automation & Fraud Operations
Location: Toronto, ON
Work Model: Hybrid – 2 days onsite/week (Tuesday & Thursday)
Duration: 12–15 Month Contract

Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Technology Project Manager to lead a portfolio of automation and process transformation initiatives within a large Canadian banking environment. This is a true end-to-end delivery role, requiring an individual who can operate seamlessly across both business and technology teams while driving multiple initiatives through the full SDLC/PDLC lifecycle.
The successful candidate will support a growing Intelligent Business Process and Fraud Operations portfolio focused on automation, process standardization, and operational efficiency. The role will work closely with operations leaders, fraud investigators, technology teams, and automation developers to deliver solutions that reduce manual effort and improve operational effectiveness.
This is not a PMO-only role. The successful candidate must be hands-on, delivery-focused, and comfortable operating from early discovery and requirements through implementation and production deployment.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Project Delivery
- Lead multiple automation and technology initiatives from intake through production deployment.
- Manage the full project lifecycle including discovery, requirements, planning, execution, testing, implementation, and closure.
- Drive adherence to SDLC/PDLC governance, gating requirements, approvals, and documentation standards.
- Partner closely with both business and technology stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
Portfolio & Governance Management
- Support a portfolio of concurrent automation and process optimization initiatives.
- Develop and maintain:
- RAID logs
- Project schedules
- Governance artifacts
- Steering committee materials
- Executive and leadership updates
- Critical path tracking
- Ensure project health, transparency, and effective risk management across all initiatives.
Business & Technology Partnership
- Act as the primary interface between:
- Fraud Operations teams
- Business stakeholders
- RPA/Automation development teams
- Technology partners
- Enterprise governance groups
- Facilitate requirements gathering workshops and business process reviews.
- Translate operational needs into actionable technology deliverables.
Automation & Process Transformation
- Support delivery of automation initiatives across fraud operations and case management processes.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and standardize operational workflows.
- Coordinate implementation activities across business and technology teams.
- Assist with onboarding, change management, and operational readiness activities.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of Project Management experience within Banking or Financial Services.
- Proven experience delivering technology projects from inception through implementation.
- Strong understanding of:
- SDLC
- PDLC
- Project governance
- Risk and issue management
- Executive reporting
- Experience managing both business and technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to operate in hybrid Business PM / Technology PM environments.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent workstreams and competing priorities.
- Hands-on delivery mindset with the ability to work independently.
