The Surface Direct Go‑to‑Market (GTM) team is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that drive growth for Surface and Windows devices within the direct-to-customer channel. You will translate strategy into actionable plans, manage campaign workflows, ensure messaging excellence, and maintain the operating rhythm that keeps Surface GTM programs moving. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast‑paced environments, loves structure, and enjoys bringing clarity to complex, multi‑stakeholder initiatives.

- Own end‑to‑end project management across cross‑functional teams including Product Marketing, Studio/Creative, IMC, Channel, and Analytics.
- Drive timelines, dependencies, and risk mitigation for launches and priority programs.
- Ensure asset readiness, workflow clarity, and execution alignment across channels.
- Maintain a strong operating rhythm (ROB, quarterly planning, launch checkpoints).
- Serve as the central point of coordination and accountability for assigned initiatives.
- Track deliverables, maintain dashboards, and ensure visibility across teams using tools such as Excel, Loop, and project trackers.
- Review and provide feedback on messaging, creative assets, and campaign deliverables to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment to strategy.
- Ensure benefit‑led, customer‑centric messaging across all touchpoints.
- Partner closely with Studio/Creative and IMC teams to elevate product storytelling and campaign quality.
- Coordinate projects and develop detailed plans to accomplish goals.
- Present proposals, reports, and findings to stakeholders.
- Analyze resource needs and market demand to assess project feasibility.
- Support team operations and cross‑functional alignment.
- Project management experience combined with marketing operations or campaign execution.
- Experience working with creative teams or agencies.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Comfortable using AI tools (including Microsoft Copilot) to automate workflows and improve efficiency.
- Cross‑functional Project/Program Management
- End‑to‑end ownership, timeline and dependency management, stakeholder coordination.
- Project Tracking, Reporting & Tools
- Experience with Excel, Loop, trackers, dashboards, and execution reporting.
- Marketing Operations & Campaign Execution
- GTM planning, campaign coordination, asset workflow, launch readiness.
- Creative and messaging review (3+ years) — ability to evaluate clarity, quality, and alignment of creative assets.
- Lack of required project management experience.
- Insufficient marketing operations or campaign execution background.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- PMI or PMP certification preferred.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience.
- Contribution to monthly business targets.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Quality of deliverables and stakeholder feedback.
This role sits at the center of Surface marketing. You will:
- Lead end‑to‑end GTM programs for one of Microsoft’s flagship product lines.
- Translate strategy into execution across multiple marketing channels.
- Work with creative, product, and marketing leaders across the organization.
- Gain high visibility and exposure to how Microsoft’s marketing engine operates.
It’s a high‑impact role where your work directly influences business performance.
