SAFEGUARD YOUR IDENTITY

Cybersecurity and privacy are incredibly important to Apex Systems. We want your personal information to stay safe and secure. With hiring scams on the rise, it’s crucial to remain vigilant in the fight against fraud. By being aware of online best practices, you can safeguard your identity and protect yourself from phishing scams.

Apex may:

  • Request personal information for submittal requirements, including Social Security number, date of birth, and address. If you have doubts about the validity of the recruiter, have a phone conversation followed by an email detailing the call. Verify that the email is coming from the apexsystems.com domain and that the contact information and name of the recruiter match.
  • Use a secure E-verify online portal for document completion.
  • Ask you to complete a pre-screening video or full interview using professional tools such as Spark Hire, Zoom, or Microsoft Teams.

Apex will NEVER:

  • Ask for banking or other financial information as part of the application process.
  • Request fees or deposits during or after the recruitment process.
  • Send you money to purchase additional equipment.
  • Ask you to share logins and passwords or other personal information with us.
  • Contact you using the Telegram app, Signal Private Messenger, Google Hangouts, or email addresses that come from domains other than apexsystems.com.

STAY SECURE ONLINE

Keep these simple security tips in mind when using the internet.

  • Be wary of scammers who call or email and pose as recruiters or employment agents to access your personal information.
  • Don’t click on links or open documents from an unknown contact. Scammers frequently send emails with harmful links and malware designed to steal sensitive information such as online credentials and passwords. If you don’t trust it, don’t click on it.
  • Never give away personal information, like your bank account or Social Security number, to someone you don’t know on the phone or computer. If you have even the slightest doubt, reach out to the organization through official channels. For anything related to Apex Systems, contact us.
  • Create unique, strong passwords with at least eight characters, although 15 to 20 characters is safer. Do not reuse a password across multiple platforms or store passwords in your browser. Update passwords on a regular basis.
