Job Description:

Our client is global company with over 14,000 employees that designs and manufactures some of the worlds toughest specialty and access equipment including trucks, military vehicles, truck bodies, airport fire apparatus, and more.

We are seeking an Embedded Software Test Engineer.

This is a Direct Hire/Full Time Position

You will be responsible for ensuring quality software and electrical components are developed for all types of vehicles. Work in a collaborative team environment, guiding the design of future control systems and leading the development of software testing methodologies.

YOUR IMPACT

• Involved in the design, development and testing of software and components for all vehicles.
• Create and execute test strategies based on requirements
• Perform analysis and create comprehensive test reports based on testing results
• Record and track software bugs to closure
• Follow defined CMMI Level 3 Procedures in verification and validation

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
• Experience in NI LabView
• Understanding of CAN, J1939
• Understanding of vehicle systems
• Prefer 3-5 years of experience but interested in eager, capable candidates with 1-2 years of experience too.
• Experience in troubleshooting electrical control systems
• Excellent Communication skills (verbal and written)

STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with NI Test Stand
• Experienced with Hardware In Loop (HIL) testing
• Experience with Python scripting, C++
