Job Description:

What you’ll do:

  • Design, implement, and tune schema changes to existing commercially licensed and in-house databases. Optimize modifications to existing database deployments
  • Create documentation for database environments per bank policy and follow change control procedures
  • Provide database design, direction, and support to business users. Troubleshoot common data access problems
  • Provide guidance to customers and applications developers with database related questions
  • Configure and set up disaster recovery environments
  • Configure and set up test environments
  • Always act using Integrity, Caring, and Excellence to achieve all-win outcomes

What You’ll Need

  • Experience migrating from on prem to cloud databases. 
  • RDBMS to NOSQL migrations.
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent IT experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in RDBMS administration with medium to large databases in an enterprise environment and an emphasis on performance tuning and production support.
  • Expert in Database Administration.
  • Expert ability in operating systems that databases reside on such as Microsoft Windows, Redhat Linux, and IBM AIX
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft computer applications.

Additional Preferred Skills:

  • Expert in designing and developing data aggregation and reporting using SQL API of each respective RDBMS
  • Expert in schema normalization, index tuning, performance enhancement via code refactoring, and bulk data import/extract
  • Expert in automating repeatable tasks via automation scripting using tools such as PowerShell, Python, Bash, Chef, Jenkins, PHP/PERL or Ansible
