Position: Test Execution Support Engineer
Location: Onsite (Westborough, MA)
Duration: 3 month contract
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 2-4 years of manufacturing quality assurance engineering experience in the robotics/mechatronics/manufacturing industry.
- Execute a robust test plan focused on validating the performance, durability, and stress tolerance of the prototype product
- Capturing test results and reporting back to the business on pass/fail criteria with detailed findings (Polarian and/or Excel will be used to track test cases)
- Experience testing robotics/manufacturing products: Ranging from functionality and accuracy testing, product performance testing, durability and stress testing, integration testing, user experience evaluation, data analysis and refinement.
- Conduct thorough testing using a variety of techniques, including controlled environment testing, real-world scenario testing, and stress testing.

- During stress / endurance testing days, you will be acting as an “associate”, inducting ASINs and auditing boxes. (this area of the project is not technical work)
- Providing test results back to stakeholders and product development teams to make product changes/adjustments as-needed
- Document test procedures, results, and identified improvement opportunities meticulously.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Experience working in new technology or product development
- Design understanding/experience of simple parts, assemblies, and fixtures…will need to evaluate the machine based on the business requirements (not redesign the machine)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with Electro-Mechanical systems
- Ability and desire to work hands on in lab environments
- Contribute to the development of a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the testing team.

- Ability to troubleshoot operational issues within a given automation/machine
- Ability to performance basic fault analysis aiming at proving/suggesting a solution
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience designing and planning test conditions, test scripts, and test data sets to ensure appropriate and adequate coverage and control
- Deep hands-on technical expertise in testing of electro-mechanical systems
- Experience writing test reports analyzing data
- Experience in automation or robotic systems
- An understanding of rapid prototyping options
- Understand of Failure Engineering Analysis
- Understanding of safety systems
- Familiar with a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with PLCs and CodeSys/IPCs
- Experience creating test plans derived from functional design requirements

- Manufacturing QA experience required (software QA experience is a value-add)
- Basic understanding of technical functionality machine diagrams, flowcharts, architecture
- General understanding of hardware, software and controls interaction
