Physical Build Project Manager

Job Description:

Apex Systems is looking to hire an ONSITE for a Physical Build Project Manager our client based out of Greensboro, NC.
This assignment is anticipated to be a ­­12 month contract with strong potential for extension; however, Apex Systems cannot guarantee the length of this assignment.
This will also have a first shift Monday-Friday schedule.
Responsibilities:

• Support the organization on planning, coordination and follow-up of build and test activities on projects, securing a good status between systems and physical test objects according to project frame.
• Lead, plan, organize and control the Physical Build activities in close cooperation with the team within Product Development projects.
• Meet the project prototype need of Physical Builds and parts according to specified requirements.
• Manage projects or subprojects with limited complexity within a program or portfolio, from initiation to completion.
• Have full responsibility for defining and managing scope, cost, schedule, quality and risks - and to deliver on agreed project objectives.
• May be assigned to more complex project support from lead project manager.

Experience:

•  5+ years of experience in Project Management within an automotive, heavy-duty trucks, and/or industrial manufacturing environment
• Able to work independently with limited supervision. Problems faced are difficult and sometimes complex.
• PMP Certification is a plus.
