Job Description:

Apex Systems is looking for a Project Manager to join one of our telecommunications clients in the St. Louis area.  
Hybrid in Maryland Heights 
6 month contract with potential to extend or convert
Description:

Manages the entire project lifecycle from project definition through implementation. Accountable for meeting agreed upon scope, cost, schedule and quality measures. Develops project plan and drives project milestones. Establishes effective communication plan with project team and key stakeholders. Provides day-to-day direction to project resources. Ensures effective change management occurs throughout the course of the project. Responsible for preparation of documentation, status reports and budgets. Role requires excellent oral and written communications, interpersonal, negotiation, project planning, judgment, leadership, decision-making, analysis and problem-solving skills. specialized knowledge of MS Project, Visio, Excel, Word. 8+ years of experience.
Strong Project Management Skills
• MS Project, MS Excel and MS Power Point
• Experience in project management or business management or associated area
• Ability to work with others and manage disparate teams globally
• Ability to manage technical solutions whether by a single team or multiple teams
• A proven track record in a similar role
• Good interpersonal skills; positive attitude; team player; flexible
• Must be able to face off to business and technology leaders when required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Basics in financial markets & banking operations
• Keen attention to detail and strong sense of ownership and accountability
• Motivated to work cooperatively with other teams across varying levels of experience
• Must be a self-starter and have the ability to work with little to no supervision
 

Requirements:
-Project Manager Experience
-Infrastructure background MUST – data centers, servers, and storage knowledge
-JIRA is a plus
