AWS Cloud Security Engineer

Job Description:

• This person will monitor AWS environment for vulnerabilities.
• Working with the tech team running with the projects and efforts to solve issues of what the tool finds.
• Determine issues within the firewall environments - firewall policies, virtual Palo Alto environment. Need to know what firewalls do and how it works, not hands on. Any building will be from any future projects that come along.
• AWS – security group and a NACL, GitHub Security maintaining advanced security features – 
• Salesforce security – understanding of best practices on what’s needed. 
• This candidate will have some experience with API security.
• Administers, operates and monitors the company’s information security sensors, logging, alerting and other detection mechanisms to identify and respond to threats
• Acts as subject matter expert for one or multiple assigned cybersecurity technology stacks (e.g., identity and access management, network intrusion detection and prevention, host based security tools)
• Manage and maintain the Cloud-Native Application Protection Platforms (CNAPP)/Cloud security posture management (CSPM) Platforms 
• Collaborates with cyber security team to identify, evaluate and recommend new security technologies for suitability within the company’s environment and security posture
• Provides guidance for security activities and requirements in the system development life cycle (SDLC) and application development efforts.
