Apex Systems is looking to hire a Sanitation Technician for one of their reputable manufacturing clients they support.
The primary purpose of the Sanitation Technician (Internal) is to ensure the proper sanitizing of production equipment.

This position is onsite in Charlotte, NC 5x/ week 

Shift Schedule: Sunday - Thursday; 930pm-6am (OVERNIGHT)
Contract length: 3 month CONTRACT TO HIRE - client plans to convert this resource (contingent on performance)
Pay rate varies based on background and experience: $20+/HR w2.
Position Responsibilities:    
  • Ensure proper cleaning and sanitizing of the process equipment by properly schedule sanitation technician.
  • Ensure adherence to Master Sanitation and Filler Sanitation schedules.
  • Ensure adherence of standard operating procedures.
  • Safely work with chemicals.
  • Maintain records of sanitation related activities.
  • Foster and help maintain a safe work environment.
  • Maintain a professional manner when working and communicating with all company personnel.
  • Identify recommendations to improve processes.
  • Notify the manager when problems arise that cannot be quickly corrected.
  • Complete other assigned tasks as needed.
  • Perform duties in a manner that promotes efficiency, quality, and safety.

  Key Position Competencies:
  • Understanding of and experience with sanitation requirements, equipment, and procedures in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and industry standard cleaning procedures.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule (includes nights/weekends/holidays).
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • 1-year related experience in food safety, including manufacturing environments.
  • Positive and dependable with the ability to participate as a team member to achieve common goals with a sense of urgency.
  • Problem solving, organizing, and prioritizing skills.
  • Must be self-motivated, positive, have a high degree of integrity, dependability &   participate as a team member to achieve common goals with a sense of urgency.
  • Understanding of GMP, HACCP, Safe Quality Food Principles, and Food Defense Principles.
