Communications Network Engineer MID- Carderock (Bethesda), MD
Location:
9500 MacArthur Boulevard
West Bethesda, Maryland 20817-5700
On-Site 5 days/week
Must have at least a Secret Clearance to start.
Evaluate communication hardware and software, as well as troubleshoot Local Area Networks/Base Area Networks/Wide Area Networks (LAN/BAN/WAN), and other network related problems.
-Administer LAN/BAN/WANs.
-Schedule conversions and cutovers.
-Coordinate with all responsible users and sites.
-Specialized experience in the performance and configuration of networks as well as the integration and testing of complex large-scale computer integrated networks.
-Must possess an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) network support certification such as a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
Pay: $40.07-51/HR + $4.57 Fringe + Sick Leave Accrual + 10 Federal Holidays Paid Off
REQUIREMENTS:
-Must have: Secret clearance, Security + Certification, 4 year degree, 4 years exp, or 8 yrs networking, and CCNA
-Active Secret Clearance
-CompTIA SEC+ ce certification or like for 8570 requirement for IATII
-Bachelor’s Degree in an IT related field AND 4 years minimum of IT Experience OR 8 years minimum IT experience if no degree.
(For candidates with an Associate or Masters degree in an IT related field, IT experience required are adjusted.)
-Preferred CCNA certification (Must obtain within first 60 days if you do not possess)
