Food Safety & Regulatory Compliance Manager

Job Description:

• Create FDA-compliant food product labels, incorporating ingredient statements, nutrition facts panels, and allergen statements with proficiency in retail food regulation and guidance.
• Review and approve label artwork with a high degree of accuracy, including graphics, formatting, text, and grammar.
• Manage product nutrition and ingredient information, including supporting documents from suppliers.
• Identify labeling issues and communicate with the appropriate teams.
• Support the Sales/Customer Service teams with inquiries related to products and ingredients.
• Provide suppliers and customers with regulatory information through their online portals.
• Review product formulas and raw materials for compliance with regulatory requirements
• Assist with the development of product specifications.
• Contribute to product related communications with regulatory and nutrition insights.
• Assist with the implementation of programs, policies, SOPs, and practices to ensure products comply with regulations.
• Collaborate with multiple functions and support innovation projects.
• Participate in GFSI and customer audits.

• BS required, MS preferred, with an emphasis on nutrition science, food science, food microbiology, or related fields
• Regulatory certifications a plus
• Minimum 3-5 years in food labeling with regulatory experience preferred.
• Hands on experience with US-FDA labeling of retail food products or related industry experience
• Knowledge of Food Safety fundamentals
• Ability to interpret and implement regulations and guidance documents.
