Apex Systems is looking to hire a Sr. Security Engineer for one of their reputable clients they support in Spartanburg, SC.

Job location: 100% remote - but client prefers local to Spartanburg, Orlando or Dallas.

Contract length: 6 month contract to hire - conversion contingent on performance

Rate: $65/hr W2

Top requirements:

• 5+ years IT Security experience
• Must have – CISSP certification or similar (CCSP, SSCP, CEH)
• PREFERRED - Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, computer science, or IT.
• Ability to work in cross functional teams

Responsibilities:

• Endpoint monitoring
• Incident Response
• Firewall policies
• Security Patching
• Intrusion Detection/Prevention

Project/Position Overview: Client currently outsources SOC/Threat Monitoring to Trend Micro (MDR), they are interested in building out their Cyber Security and GRC team. With this hire they are looking for a resource take over primary monitoring responsibilities and incident response functions. Need a Sr. Cyber Security generalist that can wear multiple hats and has a strong technical background in endpoint, network, and some application security.
