DevOps Engineer

Job Description:

As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in driving our transition from Jenkins to GitHub, leveraging your expertise to optimize our development processes and enhance collaboration across teams. In addition to managing our CI/CD pipelines, you will also be responsible for mentoring junior developers and providing technical leadership to support our strategic initiatives.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Lead the migration from Jenkins to GitHub, including the design, implementation, and optimization of CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to automate and streamline our development workflows, driving efficiency and productivity.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior developers, fostering their growth and development in DevOps best practices.
- Implement monitoring and alerting solutions to ensure the reliability and performance of our systems and applications.
- Manage cloud infrastructure and deployment environments, leveraging tools such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to our DevOps toolchain and processes, staying current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions, including configuration and optimization for CI/CD.
- Strong background in DevOps principles and practices, with hands-on experience in building and managing CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and disciplines.
- Prior experience mentoring junior developers or leading technical projects is highly desirable.
