Job Description:

Job Title: Tax Accountant 
Location: Columbus, OH/Remote 
Contract Length: 6 months 
Pay Rate:$40.25-44.00/hr
The Tax Accountant-Lead exercises control over the preparation and maintenance of tax records and information used in completing tax returns. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

          • Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated tax provision and tax footnote disclosure in accordance       
             with ASC 740.
          • Prepare and maintain income tax account reconciliations on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
          • Prepares the most complex tax returns and related reports and analyses. 

• Coordinates tax audits, responds to tax auditors and keeps senior management informed of audit status. 

• Researches tax laws and communicates conclusions to management. 

• Implements procedures to comply with new tax laws. Provides guidance to other tax accountants.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

• 5-7+ years in Corporate Tax experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong Corporate tax return experience

• Familiarity with tax compliance systems

• Proficiency in basic Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)

• Fast paced and detail oriented

• Ability to prioritize and simultaneously handle deadlines, ad hoc requests, and regular deliverables

• CPA preferred

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
