SENIOR CLOUD BUSINESS ANALYST

Contract Terms: 6 Months (3x 6 Month Extensions Available) 
Hours: Full Time (37.5 Hours / week)
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: 6 Months after Start Date 
Work Location: Preference for LOCAL Consultants (based in Vancouver, BC) - REMOTE / HYBRID Work can be accommodated for the right person.   Work Hours are PST. 
 
Project Description: 

The Client is seeking a Cloud / SaaS Business Analyst who will be responsible for shaping and supporting our Modern Work / Microsoft 365 environment and program. The Business Analyst will support the newly formed Modern Work Centre of Excellence (MWCOE) to support projects and various stakeholders within VPP and at times BC Health. In this role you will:
  1. Support internal processes and technology needed to support Microsoft 365 for VPP
  2. Measure, monitor, and analyze SaaS usage for VPP customers and make recommendations for cost optimization.
  3. Work with technical and business teams to address issues, manage risk and delivery value
  4. Manage service intake to meet business needs
Successful candidates are an experienced project/program manager or business analyst with technical depth and expertise, along with strong customer engagement and communications skills. A strong understanding of cloud computing, SaaS a Microsoft 365 is required. Preference will be given to those with prior government experience with Microsoft 365.
Services Required: 
The selected resource will need to perform the following functions:
  • Supports the coordination, execution, and completion for all aspects of the VPP M365 Adoption Program and Roadmap
  • Responsible for complex tasks in various cloud functions in areas of Microsoft 365 and other SaaS products.
  • Creation of executive level Briefing Notes, Business Cases and other management level collateral as required
  • Define requirements for process and tool implementations needed to manage SaaS and Modern Work solutions
  • Collects and reviews requirements and perform data analysis to support decision making.
  • Perform technical and financial analysis to help clients determine the impact of SaaS adoption.
  • Define the total cost of ownership and business value for Microsoft 365 and SaaS Adoption
  • Creation and maintenance of program reporting dashboards, KPI and project metrics
  • Creates, maintains, updates databases and spreadsheets, and generates various reports as required.
  • Develops plans for assigned accounts and tracks performance to plan.
  • Assists in the development of operational optimization policies and guidelines.
  • Identify program risks and develop response plans.
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant Cloud optimization, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Participates in special projects as required

Specific Qualifications or Experience Required: 
  • 10+ years’ experience working as a business analyst in a IT/Cloud capacity
  • 10+ years’ experience working with Microsoft 365 and server-based services (Exchange, SharePoint etc.)
  • Strong background in working for multi-regional public healthcare organization
  • Proven experience with the principles of ITIL Incident Management, Project Management and Change Management
  • Proven stakeholder management skills
  • Proven experience facilitating and leading teams in programs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to translate Cloud terminology and concepts for easy consumption by cross-functional stakeholders
  • Highly adaptable and able to work in a fast paced priority driven environment
  • Exceptional level of professionalism; personable, approachable, courteous
  • Excellent time management, prioritization and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail including an awareness of downstream effects of actions
  • Ability to work independently to meet deliverables and solve problems
  • Demonstrated sense of ownership and commitment and the capability to drive issues to closure
  • Possesses a high level of integrity, trustworthiness and confidence, and represents the organization with a high level of professionalism
  • Experience working within the Health Authorities and public healthcare is highly preferred.

  •  Senior
    • An absolute minimum of eight (8) years of directly related Consulting Category experience.
    • A Certificate in Consulting Category related disciplines and a minimum of six (6) years of related Consulting Category experience; or
    • A Diploma in Consulting Category related disciplines and a minimum of five (5) years of related Consulting Category experience; or
