Apex Systems is seeking a remote Sr Clinical Research Contracts Administrator for a contract opportunity with a global provider of customized care for children. Our client advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment.
Job Details:
The Sr Clinical Research Contracts Administrator is responsible for analyzing, reviewing, developing, initiating, and negotiating contractual arrangements for clinical research protocols with industry sponsors/collaborating sites. Assists in managing contract development and negotiation from inception through revisions to finalization, ensuring mitigation of risk of loss and liability. Reviews and understands research protocols and ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations regarding the conduct of clinical trials and human subject protection including legal compliance with relevant financial, operational, and institutional policies, and industry standards. Determines need for and type of clinical trial formal agreements required. Serves as resource in the development, implementation, and revision of institutional contracting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and strategies. Interprets and ensures consistent application of policies. Develops and institutes quality control measures. Tracks clinical research contracts and reviews agreements to determine compliance with terms or identify changes.
The ideal candidate will:

  • Manage administration of clinical research contracts and provides knowledge on clinical contract practices, complex trials, and understanding of key stakeholder engagement.
  • Manage day-to-day activities in complex clinical contract development and negotiation processes.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, sponsor or institutional guidelines related to contracts
  • Proactively work with cross-functional teams (e.g., research team, sponsor institutions) on matters related to legal and complex issue resolution.
  • Support development and maintenance of policies and procedures to ensure high-quality services of own team/department.
  • Assists in reviewing and revising clinical trial contract language.
  • Supports clinical teams in resolving issues as they relate to contracts.
  • Identify opportunities and provide input to improve efficiency/automate current processes.
  • Demonstrates agility and decisive actions, course corrections and/or discard ineffective strategies based on gained insights.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution.
  • Maintains regular and predictable attendance

REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelors degree in relevant area required
  • 4+ years of experience in administration processes as applicable to clinical research contracts.
  • Good understanding of contract management, agreements and negotiation.
  • Able to use and manage contract lifecycle management software system and contracts
  • repository.
  • Experience working with relevant regulations.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams.
