Role: Technical Support Analyst             
Location: Virginia Beach, VA

Summary:

The Technical Support Specialist manages technical support and operational customer support service needs for corporate and hospital customer base.   You will be versed in 1st level Wide Area Network (WAN) and Telecommunication equipment and be able to replace failed equipment when needed.

Reports To: System Team Coordinator, Technical Manager

Essential Responsibilities:

1.            Implement new desktop applications and assist with migration of existing applications.

2.            Maintain, repair, and deploy IT hardware as per currently supported standards.

3.            Provide Level 1 LAN/WAN and supplemental Level 1 Communication Technology support to include data jack troubleshooting, network switch troubleshooting, hardware replacement, DHCP/DNS administration, and Level 1 protocol analysis

4.            Update problem management system, as well as project and change request system, and communicate progress to customers. 

5.            Required shiftwork, overtime, and on-call responsibilities. 

6.            Completed annual goals.  

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:  Associate’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field or equivalent experience.

Experience:  Minimum of 3 years experience in supporting various end users with hardware and software including procedural problems.   Must have experience with Microsoft Operating Systems in a LAN/WAN environment.   Key Competencies:  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.  Strong troubleshooting skills a must.  Must be able to work autonomously as well as in a team.
