Client sought a partner who could provide skilled resources and the necessary oversight for the volume needed.

SITUATION

The client’s EHR system was no longer supported by the vendor and it had become too customized to support effectively. Additionally, the Hospital and the Ambulatory systems did not communicate well with each other and patient information was not crossing between them efficiently. After a system selection process, they chose Epic as their enterprise EHR system. To compound the situation, the client is located in a small town with a limited resource pool. They were challenged with supporting the demands of the new project and maintaining the legacy system. To accomplish their objectives, they sought a partner who could provide skilled resources and the necessary oversight for the volume needed:

SOLUTION

In close collaboration with the client and Epic we developed a solution that included:

  • Resource planning
  • Skilled Epic certified regional resources for the implementation of the solution, training of end users, go-live and post go-live support
  • Creation of customized on-boarding, and tailored boot camp
  • Management of resources from implementation through post go-live
  • Establishing clear and concise financial reporting as required by client’s procurement to demonstrate good stewardship of budget

RESULT

We sourced and on-boarded 113 Epic certified resources and successfully implemented, tested, developed and delivered training and supported the full Epic suite. Through collaboration with the client and Epic we performance managed the team through an on time on budget implementation
