SITUATION

Our client needed project managers to assist with an influx of business resulting from the implementation of a custom software solution. The smaller size of the company’s existing HR department and recruiting team meant that they required additional support to fill the roles and ramp up quickly. We were chosen as a partner because of our long-standing relationship with a key project stakeholder, speed, and nationwide scalability. 

Provided 23 Project Managers in Four Months with 18% Cost Savings

SOLUTION

We partnered closely with client stakeholders to gain a thorough understanding of the need and ensure delivery within the four-month ramp up period. Our PMO Practice Director thoroughly qualified the technical requirements of the project, elevating the service provided by ensuring delivery teams sourced best-fit consultants for our client's team. After scoping the project, we supported them with a remote nationwide consultant search that both reduced their costs and filled the roles within the designated timeline.

On assignment, key responsibilities for these consultants include:

  • Managing and leading the initial project delivery tasks, including, but not limited to the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Ensuring project systems are built and released in accordance with client expectations inclusive of leading the project system change control process as appropriate
  • Supporting the implementation of complex, multi-product projects as needed 

RESULT

In under four months, we supplied the client with dozens of skilled candidates, filling all 23 positions, and were under budget by the end of the ramp up period. Leveraging our services resulted in significant cost savings for the client, as we were able to provide consultants at around 18% less than average hourly rates for the required skill sets. Additionally, we cut onboarding time by approximately 50% compared with the client’s internal HR department. Our retention rate remains high and as a result of our success with this project, our partnership continues through additional engagements with other teams within the company.
